Abstract
In this paper, the main Aim is to study the phenomenon known as highway hypnosis or driving hypnosis. It is a trap of mind when a driver is driving a vehicle ,truck, car ,etc .. for a long period of time and the driver operates the vehicle in a dulled ,sleepy state or sometimes completely falling asleep without remembering what occurred in that specific time. .Highway hypnosis has been considered as one of the major reason for accident on roads .Newly inaugurated Samruddhi Mahamarg [dec. 2022] has become a dead space for a user. Accident caused by highway hypnosis resulted in nine deaths out of the total 39 lives last over the period ,as per the data given by Maharashtra police.
