Abstract

Overview: In last few decades, our country has witnessed major changes in the disease burden. You know that India has made good progress in reducing maternal and child mortality in the last few years. To completely address the morbidity burden, reduce OOPE, improving the utilization of government health facilities and for ensuring continuum of care; the Government of India has recently implemented the holistic programme of the “Ayushman Bharat. A key addition to the primary health team at the SHC-HWC would be the Mid-level Health Provider (MLHP) or Community Health Officer (CHOs). Method: To know the real status of Community Health Officers & Health and Wellness Centers, a survey is conducted with the help of a structured questionnaire on 670 Community Health Officers (Contractual and Regular), those working at Health and Wellness Centers of Madhya Pradesh, India. The sample selected through the stratified disproportionate random sampling method.
