Abstract

The paper presents data on the effect of fertilization on soil with an unconventional product, known as commercial Vinassa obtained from residues of yeast factories. The treatments were applied in field, in Tagetes patula. Both biometric measurements and anatomic-morphological studies on plants have shown the favourable effect of fertilization with Vinassa (plant growth and flowering capacity, development of woody tissue, marrow and stem diameter, etc.). At soil level, the fertilization with Vinassa, especially in high doses, resulted in an increase of soil pH to moderately alkaline, an increase of accessible potassium content and degree of base saturation, but also decreases the potential level of enzymatic activity.
