Abstract

Success of a genetic control program in a sexually reproducing species depends largely on the mating competitiveness of the released individuals. The sexual vigor of male Anopheles albimanus mosquitoes carrying an Y-autosome translocation was evaluated in the laboratory and found to be equal to that of wild type males.
