Abstract
On purification of rabbit-reticulocyte ribosomes, additional requirement for soluble components could be demonstrated for the transfer of amino acids to ribosomes. Soluble RNA from rabbit reticulocytes, rabbit liver and Escherichia coli was used as amino acid donor to rabbit-reticulocyte ribosomes. The nature of soluble proteins synthesized in each instance was investigated.
