Abstract

Single crystals of L-asparagine L-tartaric acid doped with iodic acid were grown by slow evaporation. The transparency of the crystal was found to be lower. In the previous study, XRD analysis demonstrated that the produced crystal crystallised in a monoclinic structure. Thermo gravimetric (TG) and Differential thermal analysis (DTA) were used to determine the thermal characteristics of the formed crystal. Relative permittivity, dielectric loss, AC conductivity and dielectric strength are the four main properties of dielectrics. Variations in dielectric properties were shown with frequency. The Kurtz-Perry powder method was used to determine the second order nonlinear optical property of the crystal.
