Studies on the unburned carbon content in fly-ash from pulverized-coal combustion (3rd report, Application of the prediction method to the boiler)

Abstract

In order to apply the prediction method described in our previous reports to the actual boiler, the furnace application model and gas temperatures estimation method are examined. According to these results, the predicted unburned carbon content in flyash for three actual boilers is in good agreement with the measured data. Furthermore, some boiler furnace combustion systems are examined using the prediction method to reduce unburned carbon content in flyash.
