Abstract
1. 1. A23187 induces pigment dispersion and potentiates hormone-induced pigment dispersion in isolated legs of Uca pugilator. 2. 2. cAMP and Bt 2AMP induce pigment dispersion in melanophores, leucophores, and erythrophores, and both potentiate hormone-induced pigment dispersion in melanophores and leucophores of U. pugilator. 3. 3. cGMP induces pigment dispersion in all three chromatophore types and both potentiates and inhibits hormone-induced dispersion in a dose dependent manner in isolated legs of U. pugilator. 4. 4. Colchicine and Cytochalasin-B inhibit hormone-induced pigment dispersion in melanophores, leucophores, and erythrophores of U. pugilator.
