Abstract

A comparative study on the effect of pH, on growth and sporulation of the strains ofAspergillus terreus andCurvularia lunata obtained from alkaline and fertile soils andHeterosporium allii from alkaline soils has been made. The optimum and maximum pH for growth and sporulation has been found to be higher for the forms isolated from alkaline soils.
