Abstract
Viscosity measurements of glucagon solutions at pH 11 demonstrate that the molecule has a compact shape in dilute aqueous solution. In more concentrated solutions gels are formed with time which have an antiparallel β-conformation, similar to that found in gels from acidic solution.
