Abstract

Aminopolycarboxylic acids are very popular and widely applied in many branches of industry. Due to their activity, they combine with metal ions and form very stable complexes. The aim was to examine the possibility of using the weakly and strongly basic acrylate anion exchangers for removal of those complexes from the systems of different types. The influence of time contact phase, pH, metal concentration, nature of active groups and metal-aminopolycarboxylic acid concentration ratio on the sorption was studied. The percentage of Cu(II) was determined by means of AAS.
