Abstract
AbstractThe distribution, period of activity and extent of parasitism of Ichneumonid parasites of sugarcane borers occuring in India are given. Amauromorpha metathoracica schoenobii Viereck, Anomalon spp., Astomaspis striola, Temelucha nigramaculata, Syzeuctus apicipennis, Brachycoryphus nursei, Ichnojoppa luteator, Isotima dammermans and Kriegeria sp. on Scripophaga nivella, Cremastus sp. and Isotima javensis on Bisseta steniellus and Trathala flavo‐orbitalis on Chilotraea auricilia have been recorded for the first time on 6 host species from India. Distinguishing characters of the adults of I. javensis, G. ornatipennis and B. nursei are discribed in detail.ZusammenfassungÜber einige Ichneumoniden als Parasiten von Zuckerrohr‐LepidopterenEs wird über die Verbreitung, Morphologie und den Parasitismus von Ichneumoniden einiger an Zuckerrohr schädlicher Lepidopteren berichtet. 7 Arten Larvalparasiten und 8 Arten Puppenparasiten wurden aus insgesamt 6 Wirtsarten gezogen. Die Imagines von Isotima javensis Cam., Goryphus ornatipennis Cam. und Brachycoryphus nursei Cam. werden näher beschrieben.
