Abstract
1. 1. The metabolic-temperature response of three species of trematodes has been studied over a temperature range of 6–41 °. One species, Saccacoelium beauforti, is from fish; another from turtles, Pleurogonius malaclemys, and the third species, Gynaecotyla adunca, is normally found in birds. 2. 2. The response of these parasites closely parallels the temperature range which each encounters in the adult stage. The parasites from birds can survive higher temperature than those from poikilothermic hosts. 3. 3. Q 10 values reflected the body temperature of the definitive hosts.
