Abstract
1. 1. The activities of ornithine-urea cycle, amino acid and purine deaminating and purine degradating enzymes were measured in whole nematode homogenates, and radiocarbon incorporation from urea-cycle intermediates into urea determined. 2. 2. Evidence for a functional urea cycle of low activity was obtained; purine degradation was shown to be insignificant. 3. 3. The significance of these studies is discussed in relation to the nitrogenous end-products excreted by Panagrellus redivivus.
