Abstract

The ultrasonic velocities and densities of binary mixtures of different phosphinic acids (Cyanex 272, Cyanex 301, Cyanex 302) with n-butanol were measured over the whole mole fraction range at temperature 303.15K and at atmospheric pressure. Various thermo-acoustic parameters and their excess values have been evaluated from these measured values. The non-linear variations of such parameters with mole fractions of different phosphinic acids have been discussed in the light of inter-molecular interaction. Besides, a comparison study has been made between the experimentally obtained velocities and theoretically estimated velocities.
