Abstract

In the present investigation, undoped and 1 mol % doped KDP crystals are grown by slow evaporation method using solubility data. Single crystal XRD, Microhardness studies, dielectric and second harmonic studies are performed on the grown crystals. The mechanical properties of the crystals such as Meyer’s index number (n), small resistance pressure(W) of the samples were studied. Indentation size effect has been explained with hardness number and applied test load. Dielectric properties of the samples were investigated at a temperature of 353 K. SHG studies was carried out using Kurtz powder technique.
