Abstract
AbstractThe mechanism of enzymic film formation of Japanese lacquer via o‐quinone derived from urushiol is revealed by the spectral and molecular‐weight changes of the substrate under mild enzymic oxidation as well as by the laccase‐catalyzed aqueous reaction of urushiol homologues.
