Abstract

Interfacial properties of bilesalts and sterols are biologically important and have got some role in life process. Tien and Diana (1) have described the formation of bilayers from cholesterol dissolved in hydrocarbon in contact with an aqueous solution of cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide (CTAB). Sweeney and Blank (2) have studied the electrical properties of the film formed by cholesterol and CTAB. Extensive studies on mixed monolayers of cholesterol and CTAB have been made by Ahmad (3).
