Abstract

The impact of extraneously furnished D(+)-glucose and D(−)-fructose, on the synthesis of new oligosaccharides from sucrose solution byC. lycopersici andF. semitectum, is presented in the present paper. The results are significant, in that they show, that the behaviour of the organisms is determined by the shell-wrapped “molecular memory” enshrined in the nucleus of the cell; and the signal of optical rotatory power is interpreted by the “operator-structural genes” determining the configuration of the enzymeβ-fructosidase.
