Abstract

For the radioimmunological determination of plasma LH and plasma FSH pituitary gonadotropin preparations have been proposed for use as standards. Since little is known about the physico-chemical properties of plasma gonadotropins, plasma pools and plasma extracts of postmenopausal women were chromatographed on Sephadex G-100 and single fractions and pools of fractions tested for their immunological activity.
