Abstract
Several collections of small forms of Amphora have been investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy. They are compared with type material of A. montana and a revised description of this taxon is provided. Another form in the samples was identified as A. normanii and supplementary data has been added. The position of the species investigated is briefly discussed in relation to other Amphora species, and sub-groupings of Amphora common in the literature.
