Abstract

An experiment has been carried out by using a trial-manufactured estimation device equipped with a microcomputer. The results indicate that by utilizing the device a real-time estimation is feasible on the basis of the estimation algorithm proposed in the previous paper. A methodological consideration is also made on the structures of both "Dynamic Measurement Method" and "Static Measurement Method". As the result it is revealed in both measurement methods that the fundamental functions of a measuring instrument are separated into two parts ; "function of observation" and "function of estimation", and that the estimation performance is fundamentally dominated by the "mathematical model" representative of the "observation device" which carries out the observation function.
