Abstract
SummarySerum CSF levels in C57BL mice rose after bilateral nephrectomy and bilateral ureter tie. These procedures prevented the fall of serum CSF levels caused by cortisone. The urine of cortisone-injected mice contained more CSF than that of saline-injected mice. In mice, most of the CSF in the urine appears to be CSF cleared by the kidney from the serum.
