Abstract
Summary Guinea-pigs injected with living egg-adapted Flury strain of rabies virus become resistant to challenge inoculation with street virus within 12 days after vaccination. This resistance is accompanied by the development of homologous neutralizing antibodies. Results of comparative immunization of dogs and guinea pigs indicate that the latter species may be used successfully to control potency of canine vaccines. The proposed potency control test is described in detail.
