Abstract

Symptoms of licorice rot of carrot ( Centrospora acerina ), found in Scotland for the first time, are described. The fungus tolerated up to 400 p.p.m. of boron, zinc and molybdenum and 200 p.p.m. of copper. Ultraviolet radiation of 1300 mW./cm. 2 induced abundant sporulation of the fungus.
