Abstract
This study analyzes what the on-site professionals of construction companies‟ demand for the smooth job performance and it presents basic skills for job of construction workers. The basic job skills means “knowledge, skills and attitudes commonly necessary to perform jobs successfully regardless of job positions and types of jobs.” Based on precedent researches, and opinions of on-sites professionals of 4 fields of construction industry and research teams, this study presents 12 abilities to perform well in the construction fields: selfmanagement ability, calculation ability, information application ability, resource management ability, technology application ability, problem-solving ability, communication ability, human relationship ability, organization understanding ability, work ethic, foreign language ability, and job understanding ability.
