Abstract
For the safety information transmission technology, here an improved high-security reflective coherent optical communication system is studied in this paper. The backscattering, mainly Rayleigh backscattering and stimulated Brillouin scattering, is analyzed to adversely affect the system performance. The results show that the sensitivity of the system can be as high as -36.3 dB m and the transmission distance is 83.2 km with a low incident power and a data rate of 10Gbps. In addition, under high incident power, the sensitivity of the system is -36.4 dB m and the transmission distance is 95.4 km. Therefore, we can reach the following conclusion that the reflective system can realize high-speed and long-distance communication. It can be applied to secure communication or some special fields.
