Abstract

Owing to the importance of the program of the PWR type nuclear power plants in France, ELECTRICITE DE FRANCE (E.D.F) has undertaken a series of studies in order to ensure the best possible adaptation of the balance of plant, especially the feedwater heating station, to the nuclear steam supply system (NSSS) and to predetermine regulation coefficients of the balance of plant.To begin with however, it was necessary to create a simulation model of the plant as a whole.A confrontation of the model with the recordings made during a series of transients at the “Centrale des Ardennes” enabled E.D.F to verify the mathematical formula chosen.
