Abstract

In tests for control of the onion thrips, all treated plants showed substantial and significant reductions in numbers of thrips over untreated plants, but the differences between treatments while considerable in some cases were not of a high degree of significance. Nicotine preparations were most effective in general, with kerosene, pyrethrum products, naphthalene and copper sprays or dusts giving high degrees of control.
