Abstract
The hydrolysis of K 2PtCl 4 in water, 0.17 M NaCl and 0.08 M KBr was studied at room temperature using adsorption chromatography on cellulose thin layers, ion exchange chromatography on DEAE cellulose thin layers and paper electrophoresis. Two hydrolysis species could be separated in solutions aged in water or dilute NaCl. In dilute KBr mixed bromochloroplatinates are formed.
