Abstract

Pt/Ebonex ® electrodes prepared by electrodeposition from Pt 5Q solution at 368 K are demonstrated to be stable and resilient. It is shown that the voltammetry of Fe(CN) 3− 6 Fe(CN) 4− 6 in 1 M KCl and 1 M NaOH, Ce(IV)/Ce(III) in 3 M CH 3SO 3H and Ag(I)/Ag(II) in 3 M HNO 3 at Pt/Ebonex ® electrodes are similar to that at bulk Pt. Pt/Ebonex ® electrodes with Pt loadings of 2 mg cm −2 have been tested in a flow electrolysis cell for ∗> 500 h without significant changes in properties.
