Abstract

Photoconductive layers consisting of organic photoconductors (OPC) were investigated and their applications in various types of mono- and multilayered electrophotographic materials-electrophotographic films and drums, photothermoplastic films and discs, electrophotophoretic (migration) films, and in lightly switched liquid crystal shutters and other optoelectxonic devices- were discussed. Concentration dependence of the photosensitivity of layered OPC films (with different polymeric binders) was investigated. Significant influence of polymeric binders for OPC on the characteristics of the films and a view of concentration dependences were showed. The reason of this is evidently a formation of associates in OPC layers. Different types of light sensitive materials on the base of OPC (in particular, films and drums for electrophotographic copiers and laser printers) shown in Figure 1 were developed.
