Abstract

Abstract The UV photolysis of bis(triaryl-substituted germyl)platinum complexes, Pt(Ar3Ge)2(PMe2Ph)2 (Ar = Ph, p-C6H4SiMe3, and p-C6H4C(CH3)3) in THF at room temperature results in Ge–Pt bonds homolysis to give the corresponding germyl radicals.
