Abstract
Abstract The development and assay of a culture medium which will support the rapid growth of certain human tumor cells has been described. This culture medium can be used with serum supplements of less than 1 per cent for cell growth on glass, and without serum for suspension cultures. Insulin is an essential component. Supplementation with 0.05 to 5 per cent bovine albumin is desirable for suspension cultures, although slow growth rates can be maintained in its absence.
