Abstract

Chlordane and aldrin at 2, 4, or 6 pounds per acre were applied as emulsion sprays to a silt loam soil in central New York. Immediately following treatments, all plots were disced to a depth of 4-6 inches. ‘Pioneer 377’ field corn when grown on the treated soils failed to show at harvest any residues of the insecticides from any portion of the plant in excess of that on the untreated checks.
