Abstract

AbstractThe action of dilute aqueous solutions of anionic, non‐ionic, and cationic surface‐active agents on nickel foil has been studied. Nickel was shown to be resistant to attack by anionic agents. One cationic agent, cetylpyridinium bromide, in distilled water solution corroded the metal, but other cationic and non‐ionic agents were almost without effect.
