Abstract

This volume contains 22 collected essays written by Professor Maarten J. J. Menken, Emeritus Professor of New Testament Exegesis at the School of Catholic Theology, Tilburg University, Netherlands. The date of the essays ranges widely, from 1980 to 2014. For the individual passages, they include exegesis on John 1:29 (ch. 13); 5:37–47 (ch. 14); 6:30–1 (ch. 15); 6:51c–58 (ch. 16); 8:12–20 (ch. 17); 9:13–34 (ch. 18); 10:34, 12:38, 19:24 (ch. 19); 1 John 3:12 (ch. 20); 1 John 5:2 (ch. 21); and 1 John 5:6–12 (ch. 22).
