Abstract

The purposes of this research were to know the achievement of tendency and learning mathematics desire seventh grade students of junior high school in SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari use cooperative learning model that conclude STAD and TAI types, to know which one the most effective. The type of this research was quasi experiment research. The population of this research was seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Wonosari academic year 2013/2014. The data that will be analyzed were two classes’ amount 73 students. The data were collected by cluster random sampling technique with drawing way. The data collecting technique were using test and questionnaire technique. Experiment analysis instrument was done usefully include validity, different power, level of difficulties and reliability test. The data analysis technique was descriptive and hypothesis test that done by due diligent test. The result of this research can conclude that: Mathematics learning achievement of STAD students experiment was categorized as medium, mathematics achievement of TAI students experiment was high categorized; Mathematics learning desire of STAD students experiment was high categorized, mathematics learning desire of TAI students experiments was high categorized; Based on mathematics learning of students, TAI experiment group have higher achievement than STAD experiment group therefore cooperative learning model TAI type more effective that cooperative learning STAD type. TAI experiment group have higher mathematics learning desire than STAD experiment group, so cooperative learning model TAI type more effective that cooperative learning model STAD type, it can seen from learning mathematic desire of students.
