Abstract

This paper discusses significant differences between the reading of the Qalun narration and that of Hafs in the Qur ’an, chapter al-Fātihah, al-Baqarah, and 'Ali Imran, and are described in a comparative format between both of them according to tarīq ash-Sha¯ibiyyah. The study found different readings: mīm jama‘, idgām ¡agīr and hā’ kināyah (in certain places), two hamzahs in one word, two hamzahs in two words, the word ﺔﯾرﻮﺘﻟا, ya’ idhāfah (additional ya’), and yā’ zā`idah (additional ya’). The findings of the words which are included in the special rule (al-farsy hurūf) are located in 113 places, with details of the places as follow: one place in Surah al-Fatihah, 64 places in Surah al-Baqarah, and 48 places in Surah Ali 'Imran.
