Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of high air chamber and press against the valve hole spacing conductor in the construction of hydraulic ram which theoretically meant to get a continuous stream. Therefore, the authors conducted research on the influence of high air chamber and pipe hole spacing introductory press with results expected to discharge more efficiently. The results showed that high variation of the air chamber and hole spacing with the delivery valve may affect the efficiency of the hydraulic ram. Where the highest efficiency variations found in the air chamber 0.5 m high and 0.16 m tap hole spacing. 62.40% is the computation of rankine efficiency and 64.79 % is D’Aubuisson.
