Abstract

Governor is a turbine speed regulator where the governor is the one who regulates the amount of water that enters the turbine as the initial driver. This arrangement is done by the governor unit that works with its functions in case of frequency changes in the system. Therefore the frequency raised is the same as that used by consumers, and the frequency will decrease if the power needs used by consumers are greater than those raised. Then the governor serves as a rotation guard on the generator to be in the frequency of 50 Hz. The change of a load will affect the output voltage of the generator, if the load rises then the generator output voltage drops and if the load drops then the generator output voltage rises. In order for the output voltage of the generator still needed a generator output voltage regulator.
