Abstract
Students’ satisfaction is a key factor to success in the learning process that has not been analyzed deeply among engineering areas. Satisfaction is related to collaborative and cooperative work that promotes a motivation attitude thus fostering deep learning processes. In this work, student satisfaction has been researched through “project- based learning” as the active methodology in subjects of the environmental science area. The study has been performed in different degrees at the Universitat Politècnica de Valencia (Spain) for four years. Satisfaction level has been measured through the "Student Evaluation of Educational Quality" questionnaire which takes into account 27 items. The tool used that collects information about the learning, enthusiasm, organization, group interaction, individual rapport, and others have a robust factor structure that allows reliability and reasonable validity. Results confirmed that students increased their interest in the subjects yielding a higher participation rate and productivity. In addition, the students considered that the evaluation method implicit in the active methodology was equitable, fair, and adequate.
