Abstract

The purpose of the study was to explore the situation of students’ discipline, their attitude towards teachers and their interests on studies in schools of Nepal. The study was guided by social constructivism world view. Subjective method was epistemology of the research to examine the reality. Likewise, multiple realities were the ontology of the research and each individual had different perceptions and understandings. The research strategy was qualitative research and a narrative inquiry method was used to know participants’ experiences. The participants were three teachers from different schools and they concluded that the attitude and behavior of students have change drastically over the past twenty years. They are distracted from the traditional teaching methods. There should be a revision of teaching pedagogy in order to keep the students’ concentration. Moreover, parents’ care and time to the children are equally important to make students discipline and enhance their interests on their studies.
