Abstract

Knowledge of attitudes of certain professional groups towards professional work poses a significant factor that affects rationality of numerous managerial decisions related to human capital management. Expertise in this field is essential from the perspective of effective use of particular tools and solutions in the area of human resources management in an organization. The raised problems are particularly important from the perspective of diagnosing students’ attitudes towards professional work as they are a population of potential employees. The main objective of the research presented in the paper was to identify the students’ attitudes and expectations related to work and career. The research intended to achieve the objective was carried out with a survey questionnaire. It covered persons who pursued master studies (2nd degree studies) at the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
