Abstract

Religion represents the level of socio-political development of the country, a link of the sociocultural system. Various religions such as Islam, Orthodoxy, Buddhism, Judaism have coexisted peacefully on the territory of Kazakhstan since ancient times. Non-traditional religions, new religious movements (NSD) that have emerged in the modern religious sphere of the country are characterized by ideological pluralism. Youth is the foundation of any society. Therefore, the article examined the attitude of students to non-traditional religious movements. In the conducted sociological survey, young student respondents showed their opinion about the essence of non-traditional religious (movements) sects.
