Abstract

An innovative approach to support student services for an educational institution is proposed in this paper. This approach is applied to integrate the student centralized services to help problem student who probably dropping out the university. The student support service workflow information system (SSS WIS) is developed to support the approach. The system consists of: (1) student information system to analyze the problems that will occur in the following area: financial, health, social and psychological aspects, (2) the notification and appointment system to solve problems, and (3) troubleshooting system. The SSS WIS can be used to systematically support the students. It can solve the student problems on demand. This affects the higher retention rate. In addition, students can graduate from the university on time.
