Abstract

The present study aimed to analyze whether, at the Federal University of Alagoas, Campus A.C. Simões, institutional student assistance policies, more specifically referring to the University Residence, capable of ensuring, in a scenario marked by diversity, respect for the values ​​of equity and respect for the human person, in the particular case of students with gender and orientation deviant from heterocisnormativity. As a theoretical-methodological option, this research adopted a qualitative approach, with emphasis on literature review and document analysis. For the analysis of the data found, Bardin's Content Analysis (2016) was chosen. As main results, it was inferred that, although there is a work already started in the mentioned educational institution on the subject in question, it is necessary to adopt more specific actions, defined organically within the university, to ensure greater effectiveness. of the rights of this student audience.
