Abstract

Background: Human Papillomavirus (HPV) exposure during adolescence is a public health concern because exposure in adolescence can lead to several types of cancer in adulthood. In 2017, New York State health regulations were changed to allow health care providers to administer HPV vaccine to at-risk minors without the consent of parents or guardians.
