Abstract

This article describes the past and current state of Studenchishte Marsh, the last remaining 50-ha wetland bordering Lake Ohrid, Macedonia, in the context of plans for developing tourism infrastructure along the lake’s shores. These plans have raised concerns among regional stakeholders and organizations promoting wetland protection.
