Abstract

Structure and cooperation: two principles for the consultation of families with antisocial children and adolescents Families with anti-social children and adolescents are the main clients of mental health hospitals for children and the social services. This article suggests possibilities for intervening in this sort of family and offers two principles for family therapy consultation. These principles are: structure before substance and cooperation before change. They are commented from the perspective of Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory. This shows that these two principles are more important than any other psychotherapeutic intervention.
